Method and apparatus for measuring the amount of an organic substance in a biological sample using infrared electromagnetic radiation. For example, glucose levels can be detected in capillary fluid filtrate obtained subcutaneously in a continuous manner in order to provide real-time glucose monitoring for a patient with diabetes.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil permettant de mesurer le taux d'une substance organique dans un échantillon biologique au moyen d'un rayonnement électromagnétique infrarouge. Par exemple, des taux de glucose peuvent être détectés dans un filtrat de fluide capillaire obtenu par voie sous-cutanée et de façon continue de façon à surveiller en temps réel le taux de glucose d'un patient souffrant de diabète.
