A health monitor subsystem detects and responds to faults within a geographically disperse voice messaging system. The health monitor subsystem comprises agent, manager, interface, and common processes. The agent process monitors a respective voice messaging system component operative on the host. The manager process monitors and manages detected faults on the host. The interface process exposes a status responsive to the host. The common process monitors and manages a platform of hosts. The health monitor subsystem enables monitoring at the component, host, and platform levels.
L'invention porte sur un sous-système de suivi de l'état de santé détectant et réagissant à des erreurs survenant dans un système de messagerie vocale géographiquement réparti. Ledit sous-système comprend des processus d'agent, de gestion, d'interface et commun. Le processus d'agent surveille un composant du système de messagerie vocale fonctionnant dans l'hôte. Le processus de gestion suit et gère les erreurs détectées dans l'hôte. Le processus d'interface expose un état en réponse à l'hôte. Et le processus commun surveille et gère une plate-forme d'hôtes. Le sous-système de suivi médical permet donc une surveillance au niveaux des composants, des hôtes et de la plate-forme.
