A fuel pump module (10) includes a fuel reservoir (R), fuel pump (26), manifold (32) connected to a pump outlet (30), a fuel line (FS) for supplying fuel to an engine (E), and a return line (FR) returning unconsumed fuel to the reservoir through a return valve (100). An external jet manifold (20) includes a nozzle (68) through which fuel is directed from the manifold, and a venturi (70) by which a low pressure region is created to draw fuel from a fuel tank (T) into the jet manifold where it is entrained and intermixed with other fuel and discharged into the reservoir. The return valve includes a plunger (122) biased to close the return valve when the fuel pump is shut off. High pressure fuel from the fuel pump acts on the plunger when the engine is running to open the valve.
Cette invention concerne un module (10) de pompe à carburant comprenant un réservoir (R) de carburant, une pompe (26) à carburant, un collecteur (32) relié à l'orifice d'évacuation (30) de la pompe, un tuyau d'alimentation (FS) en carburant servant à alimenter le moteur (E) en carburant et un tuyau d'alimentation de retour (FR) chargé de renvoyer le carburant non consommé vers le réservoir par une soupape de retour (100). Un collecteur à jet (20) externe comprend une buse (68) servant à orienter le carburant du collecteur, ainsi qu'un diffuseur (70) permettant de créer une zone basse pression permettant d'aspirer le carburant du réservoir (T) et de l'acheminer vers le collecteur à jet où le carburant est entraîné et mélangé à un autre carburant puis déversé dans le réservoir. La soupape de retour comprend un piston plongeur (122) chargé de fermer la soupape de retour lorsque la pompe à carburant est arrêtée. Le carburant haute pression provenant de la pompe à carburant agit sur le piston plongeur lorsque le moteur tourne pour que la soupape s'ouvre.
