A method and system for searching a computerized network of databases (100) containing documents uses a web crawler. The web crawler is provided with conceptual guidelines before searching. The invention summarizes source content (300) and performs text clustering (31) on the summaries (304) to produce classifications (330). The text clustering is performed using seeds based on the conceptual guidelines. The classifications are then provided (34) through a user interface (510) to a user alont with a query entry to search the classifications and to direct the user to one or more fo the classifications, so that the user is directed to the classifications (and hyperlinks to the documents) and the user is not provided the documents themselves.

La présente invention concerne un procédé et un système permettant la recherche dans un réseau informatique des bases de données (100) contenant des documents mettant en oeuvre un moteur de recherche Web. Le moteur de recherche Web est équipé de directives conceptuelles préalablement à la recherche. L'invention effectue le résumé de contenu de source (300) et un regroupement de textes (31) sur les résumés (304) en vue de produire des classifications (330). Le regroupement de textes s'effectue au moyen de noyaux basés sur les directives conceptuelles.
