Hollow plastic blow-molded containers having a tubular bodies and integral improved, self-supporting bases. The bases have distinctly shaped supported feet disposed on legs at or near the periphery of the container bottom. The container legs extend outwardly and downwardly from the central region of the container on the inner side of the container bottom and extend downwardly from the container sidewalls on the outer side and are separated by ribs which coverage in a central region at the base of the container. At the terminal end of each of the container legs, there are horizontal contact surfaces or feet which are defined by foot edges which include an inner foot edge portion and an outer foot edge portion, the outer foot edge portion includes a pair of outer far corner foot edges and a far middle foot edge portion. The far middle foot edge portion extends radially to a point further than the outer far corner foot edges. The differences between the middle and far outer corner foot edge radii give rise to a container footprint which is essentially non-uniform with the circumference of the container. The unique, non-uniform footprint provides manufacturing advantages in terms of an expanded processing window which is well-suited to a high speed manufacturing environment.

La base a des pieds de forme distincte posés sur des pattes à la périphérie du fond du récipient ou à proximité. Les pattes du récipient s'étendent vers l'extérieur et vers le bas à partir de la région centrale du récipient du côté intérieur du fond du récipient et s'étendent vers le bas à partir des parois latérales du récipient du côté extérieur et sont séparées par des nervures qui convergent en un point central à la base du récipient. Au bout terminal de chaque patte du récipient, il y a des surfaces de contact horizontales ou pieds qui sont définis par des bords de pied qui comprennent une partie bord de pied intérieure et une partie bord de pied extérieure, cette dernière comportant une paire de bords de pied d'angle extérieur éloigné et une partie bord de pied médian éloigné. La partie bord de pied médian éloigné s'étend radialement jusqu'à un point au-delà des bords de pied d'angle extérieur éloigné. La différence entre les rayons des bords de pied médians et des bords de pied d'angle extérieur éloigné donne naissance à une empreinte de récipient qui est essentiellement non uniforme avec la circonférence du récipient. L'empreinte non uniforme unique apporte des avantages de fabrication du fait qu'elle comporte une fenêtre de traitement élargie qui convient bien à un contexte de fabrication à haute vitesse.
