A solution to the problem of frequency offset in a digital communication system. On the transmitter side, interleaving (108) is applied to a stream (102) of symbols to which an error correcting code (104) has been applied. The interleaving (108) is such that symbols of the stream (102) are divided into two groups, e.g., alternating symbols are assigned to different groups. The result of interleaving is a burst where symbols of a first one of the group are transmitted in ascending order and symbols of a second group are transmitted in descending order. In one embodiment, the second group comes first in the burst, then one or more synchronization symbols followed by the first group.
L'invention concerne une solution au problème de décalage de fréquence dans un système de communication numérique. Côté émetteur, on applique un entrelacement (108) à un flux (102) de symboles auquel un code (104) de correction d'erreurs a été appliqué. L'entrelacement (108) est tel que les symboles du flux (102) sont divisés en deux groupes, p. ex. des symboles alternés sont affectés à des groupes différents. Le résultat de l'entrelacement est une rafale dans laquelle les symboles d'un premier groupe sont transmis dans un ordre croissant, et des symboles d'un deuxième groupe sont transmis dans un ordre décroissant. Dans un mode de réalisation, le deuxième groupe vient en premier dans la rafale, puis un ou plusieurs symboles de synchronisation, suivis du premier groupe.
