ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A boot jack consisting of a base having a first end and a second end and a member having a first end and a second end. The first end of the member is pivotally mounted to the first end of the base such that the second end of the member extends toward the second end of the base. The member is movable between a stored position substantially parallel to the base and an operative position wherein the second end of the member is spaced from the base. Movement of the member in relation to the base is limited to an acute angle thereby forming a space into which a heel of a boot is wedged during removal of the boot.
