The invention relates to a triggered-travel jack capable of immobilising the piston in an initial position before triggering. The piston (13) is mounted in the body (12) opposite a propulsion means (5) and a locking arrangement (19) includes a latch (30) and at least one flexible tab (23) attached to the periphery of the piston and including a hook (25) engaged with an inner abutment, the latch being moved at the beginning of the triggering.
