A system and method for making a frozen confection having a plurality of differently flavored or colored sections are provided. After partially freezing in a mold the ingredients for a first flavor or color to form a frozen outer layer and a liquid inner core, the liquid inner core is vacuumed from the mold. A carving tool, such as a laser, then is inserted into the area of the mold previously occupied by the liquid inner core. The carving tool removes a portion of the frozen outer layer in accordance with a predetermined pattern. The ingredients for a second flavor or color then are inserted into the mold to fill the inner core and the areas of the outer layer removed with the carving tool. The mold then is subjected to freezing to form the final product.
Appareil et procédé pour la fabrication d'une confiserie glacée (43) comportant une pluralité de sections (47, 45) de parfum différent ou de couleur différente. Après congélation partielle des ingrédients d'un premier parfum ou d'une première couleur dans un moule (11), de façon à former une couche extérieure gelée et un centre liquide, ce centre liquide est aspiré hors du moule. Un outil de découpe, par exemple un laser (29), est ensuite introduit dans la zone du moule précédemment occupée par le centre liquide. L'outil de découpe enlève une partie de la couche extérieure gelée selon un dessin prédéterminé. Les ingrédients d'un second parfum ou d'une seconde couleur sont ensuite introduits dans le moule de façon à remplir le centre et les zones de la couche extérieure qui ont été enlevées par l'outil de découpe. Le moule est ensuite soumis à une congélation pour former le produit fini.
