A jacket for a scalpel is provided. A disposable scalpel has an elongated body with a base wall and two sidewalls forming a scalpel channel, and a blade assembly having a blade coupled to a slider, the slider structured to move the blade between a first, retracted position and second, extended position. The jacket includes a body having an elongated base wall and two sidewalls. Each sidewall extends generally perpendicular to the jacket base wall, thereby defining a jacket channel. The jacket sidewalls are spaced apart a sufficient distance so that the scalpel may be disposed between the jacket sidewalls. The jacket further includes a trap structured to hold the scalpel in the jacket channel.
L'invention concerne une gaine de scalpel. Un scalpel jetable présente un corps allongé pourvu d'une paroi de base et de deux parois latérales constituant un canal, ainsi qu'un ensemble lame dont la lame est accouplée à une glissière conçue pour déplacer ladite lame entre une première position de retrait et une deuxième position d'extension. La gaine comprend un corps possédant une paroi de base allongée et deux parois latérales. Chaque paroi latérale s'étend perpendiculairement à la paroi de base, ce qui permet de définir un canal. Les parois latérales de la gaine sont éloignées les unes des autres sur une distance suffisante pour pouvoir placer le scalpel entre lesdites parois latérales. Cette gaine comporte également un élément de retenue conçu pour retenir le scalpel dans le canal de la gaine.
