A vulcanization mold for manufacturing tires has mold walls with 600 to 3,000 vent bores. A valve is inserted into each one of the vent bores. The valve is designed such that an advancing surface of the green tire, inserted into the vulcanization mold for vulcanization, closes the valve and that the valve is opened when the vulcanized tire is removed after vulcanization.
