A method for sterilizing liquid chromatography resins that are highly resistant to oxidation by strongly oxidizing agents and a sterilization solution for use therein. In a preferred embodiment, the invention comprises contacting an oxidant-resistant chromatographic resin with an aqueous solution of peracetic acid and up to 40% ethanol. In particular, where the solution is to be used to sterilize a positively charged ion-exchange resin, the solution preferably additionally includes an acetate buffer of a sufficient ionic strength to prevent adsorption of the peracetic acid ions on the resin.
La présente invention concerne, d'une part un procédé de stérilisation des résines pour chromatographie en phase liquide très résistantes à l'oxydation par des agents fortement oxydants et d'autre part, une solution de stérilisation utilisable à cet effet. Dans un mode de réalisation préféré, l'invention consiste à mettre une résine chromatographique résistant aux oxydants en contact avec une solution aqueuse d'acide peracétique et jusqu'à 40 % d'éthanol. En l'occurrence, lorsque la solution doit servir à stériliser une résine échangeuse d'ions chargée positivement, la solution contient, de préférence, également un tampon à l'acétate présentant une force ionique suffisante pour empêcher l'adsorption des ions acide peracétique sur la résine.
