A method and system for enabling registration of a user to use a computer system. The method includes providing a printed registration form containing information relating to user registration, the form including coded data indicative of an identity of the form and of at least one reference point of the form. Indicating data is received, in a processing system associated with the computer system, from a sensing device regarding the identity of the form and a position of the sensing device relative to the form. The sensing device, when placed in an operative position relative to the form, generates the indicating data using at least some of the coded data on the form. The method further includes identifying, in the processing system and from the indicating data, at least one parameter relating to user registration, and storing the at least one parameter so as to be accessible by said computer system.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un système permettant l'enregistrement d'un utilisateur souhaitant utiliser un système informatique. Ce procédé consiste à fournir un formulaire d'enregistrement imprimé contenant des informations concernant l'enregistrement d'un utilisateur et contenant des données codées indiquant une identité et au moins un point de référence. Ces données sont reçues dans un système de traitement associé au système informatique et proviennent d'un détecteur contrôlant l'identité du formulaire et d'un emplacement du détecteur par rapport au formulaire. Le détecteur, une fois placé en position opérationnelle, génère les données d'indication utilisant au moins les données codées sur le formulaire. Ce procédé consiste ensuite à identifier au moins un paramètres se référant à l'enregistrement d'un utilisateur dans les données d'indication et dans le système de traitement et à stocker un paramètre au moins de manière à permettre l'accès à un système informatique.
