An actuator for actuating a valve (16) from a first position to a second position includes a housing (14) and a rotatable stem (70) mounted within the housing and restricted from moving axially. The actuator also includes a non- rotatable plunger (94) engaging the stem such that the plunger moves axially in response to rotation of the stem, whereby the valve is actuated from the first position to the second position. The actuator is also provided with a non-rotatable indicator member (38), which is mounted within the housing and through which the stem extends. The indicator member engages the stem such that the indicator member moves axially in response to rotation of the stem. A viewing window (60, 64) is formed in a wall of the housing such that the indicator member can be seen through the window for indicating the first position and the second position of the valve.
Cette invention se rapporte à un actionneur servant à actionner une valve (16) pour la faire passer d'une première position à une seconde position, cet actionneur comprenant un logement (14) et une tige rotative (70) montée dans le logement ne pouvant se déplacer axialement. Cet actionneur comprend également un plongeur non rotatif (94) qui est en contact avec la tige pour pouvoir se déplacer axialement en réponse à la rotation de la tige, la valve étant alors actionnée de façon à passer de sa première position à sa seconde position. Cet actionneur est également pourvu d'un élément indicateur non rotatif (38), qui est monté dans le logement et à travers lequel s'étend la tige. Cet élément indicateur vient en contact avec la tige pour se déplacer axialement en réponse à la rotation de la tige. Une fenêtre de visualisation (60, 64) est formée dans une paroi du logement, pour que l'élément indicateur puisse être vu à travers la fenêtre, indiquant ainsi la position dans laquelle se trouve la valve.
