A self-healing power grid control system includes a power grid having a plurality of network islands with a plurality of linear and non-linear loads. A plurality of control sensors communicate with the power grid to monitor the electrical characteristics of the power grid. A plurality of controlled relays are in electrical communication with the plurality of non-linear loads. A battery energy storage system (ESS) is in electrical communication with a main power source and a network island. A first restoration controller is in electrical communication with the control sensors, the controlled relays, and with the battery ESS. The first restoration controller receives control signals from the control sensors, and in response to detecting an irregularity in the power grid, automatically actuates the battery ESS to stabilize power to the linear loads, and disconnects selected controlled relays to disconnect power to a calculated percentage of the non-linear loads.
L'invention porte sur un système de commande d'un réseau électrique à autocicatrisation comprenant une pluralité d'îlots de réseau, les ilôts de réseau comportant eux-mêmes une pluralité de charges linéaires et non linéaires. Une pluralité de capteurs de commande communiquent avec le réseau électrique pour en surveiller les caractéristiques électriques. Une pluralité de relais commandés se trouvent en communication électrique avec la pluralité de charges non linéaires. Un système de stockage d'énergie ("energy storage system" ou ESS) par batteries d'accumulateurs se trouve en communication électrique avec une source d'énergie principale et un îlot de réseau. Un premier contrôleur de restauration se trouve en communication électrique avec les capteurs de commande, les relais commandés et le système ESS à batteries d'accumulateurs. Le premier contrôleur de restauration reçoit des signaux de commande en provenance des capteurs de commande et, en réponse à la détection d'une irrégularité dans le réseau électrique, commande automatiquement le système ESS à batteries d'accumulateurs afin de stabiliser l'énergie distribuée aux charges linéaires, et déconnecte des relais commandés choisis afin de débrancher l'alimentation en énergie d'un pourcentage calculé des charges non linéaires.
