The disclosure herein describes an information displaying traffic sign which comprises a board, the front side of which is formed of an array of illuminatable LED devices. Visors shade the front illuminating sides of the LED devices. An opening is made in the visors so that air circulation along the front side of the board, from bottom to top or side-to side, allows cooling of the LED devices. Also, shades are provided adjacent to each visor opening to prevent sun rays from reaching the LEDs.
