Disclosed is a method of inhibiting intracellular infection of a eukaryotic cell by a microorganism, comprising introducing into the cell a nucleic acid sequence directing the expression on the surface of the cell of a protective polypeptide receptor molecule which has high binding affinity for a component of a microorganism capable of existing intracellularly, such that binding of the microorganism to the protective polypeptide prevents productive infection of the cell by the microorganism.
Cette invention se rapporte à un procédé permettant d'inhiber l'infection intracellulaire d'une cellule eucaryote par un micro-organisme. Ledit procédé consiste à introduire à l'intérieur de la cellule une séquence d'acide nucléique dirigeant l'expression à la surface de la cellule d'une molécule réceptrice d'un polypeptide protecteur qui possède une forte affinité pour un composant de micro-organisme pouvant exister intracellulairement, de telle sorte que la liaison du micro-organisme au polypeptide protecteur évite une infection productive de la cellule par le micro-organisme.
