Some properties such as dart impact strength, hexane extractables and resin stickiness of a polyethylene copolymer produced in a gas phase polymerization using a Ziegler-Natta catalyst are better controlled by regulating the ratio of aluminum from the co-catalyst to the polymer production rate. This enables one to improve properties such as dart impact strength and reduce hexane extractables by changing the amount of co-catalyst fed into the reactor.

En ce qui concerne différentes propriétés, telles que la résistance au choc à la torpille, les produits extractibles de l'hexane et l'adhésivité des résines que possèdent un copolymère de polyéthylène produit par polymérisation en phase gazeuse au moyen d'un catalyseur Ziegler- Natta, il plus aisé de contrôler ses propriétés en régularisant la proportion relative entre l'aluminium contenu dans un co-catalyseur et le taux de production du polymère. Ce contrôle permet de rehausser des propriétés telles que la résistance au choc à la torpille et de réduire les produits extractibles de l'hexane en changeant la quantité de co-catalyseur introduite dans le réacteur.
