A method for decreasing the elutriation loss of fine iron ore in a circulating fluidized bed type reducing operation is disclosed. The method includes charging lime stone (CaCO3) or dolomite (CaCO3, MgCO3) in an amount of 3-6 vol% together with the fine iron ore into a fluidized bed type furnace. In another embodiment, the method includes the addition of a sludge in an amount of 0.2-5.0 wt% to the fine iron ore and mixing them thus coating the fine iron ore particles; drying the coated particles at a temperature of 105-800 °C for 1-24 hours and then charging the coated fine iron ore into a fluidized bed type furnace.

L'invention se rapporte à un procédé permettant de réduire la perte par élutriation d'un minerai de fer fin dans une opération de réduction du type à lit fluidisé circulant. Ledit procédé consiste à charger, dans un four de type à lit fluidisé, 3 à 6 % en volume de chaux (CaCO3) ou de dolomite (CaCO3, MgCO3) en association au minerai de fer fin. Dans une autre réalisation, le procédé consiste également à ajouter une boue en quantité représentant 0,2 à 5,0 % en poids au minerai de fer fin et à les mélanger de manière à enrober les particules de minerai de fer fin; à sécher les particules enrobées à une température comprise entre 105 et 800 DEG C, pendant 1 à 24 heures, puis à charger le minerai de fer fin enrobé dans le four de type à lit fluidisé.
