ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention relates to a vessel having an excellent gas permeation resistance, which comprises a liquid crystal polyester forming a liquid crystal in the state of a solution or melt and a thermoplastic resin, and a process for the preparation of this vessel. In this vessel, the liquid crystal polyester is included in the interior of the thermoplastic resin and is present in the form of a layer, a fiber, a particle or a flake substantially continuous in the thermoplastic resin. If a thermoplastic resin containing a crystallization nucleating agent is used as a vessel-constituting component, the heat resistance is improved in the formed vessel.
