A polyester film made from a polymer having ethylene glycol moieties, isosorbide moieties and terephthalnoyl moieties, and the method of making the film is described. The polyester film is used to form articles such as films, lacquers, labels, capacitors, insulators, and the like, and has an inherent viscosity of at least 0.35 dL/g when measured as a 1 % (weight/volume) solution of the polyester in o-chlorophenol at a temperature of 25 ~C.

La présente invention concerne un film de polyester renfermant des fractions d'éthylène glycol, des fractions d'isosorbide et des fractions de térépthaloyl, ainsi que ses procédés de fabrication. Ce film de polyester sert à fabriquer des pellicules, des laques, des étiquettes, des condensateurs, des isolants, etc. et possède une viscosité inhérente d'au moins 0,35 dl/g pour une solution de polyester à 1 % (en poids et en volume) dans de l'o-chlorophénol à une température de 25 ·C.
