A toilet including a toilet bowl having a bowl flange with apertures and a toilet seat. The seat has a seat ring configured to rest on the bowl flange and a seat mounting means, the mounting means having at least one ring portion extending from the ring, two flange portions, each flange portion being aligned with one of said flange apertures, and an connecting means joining said ring portion and said flange portions, said connecting means permitting rotation of said ring portion between a generally horizontal use position and an over center storage position position. The mounting apparatus for the seat includes a post receptacle secured in each of the flange apertures, an elongate post secured to and extending downwardly from each of the seat flange portions and longitudinally extendable through and beyond the aligned receptacle to permit the seat to be elevated above the bowl flange to facilitate maintenance. Means are provided between the receptacles and the posts to guide the seat and to releasably support the post in the elevated position for cleaning and maintenance.
L'invention concerne des toilettes comprenant une cuvette, un rebord de cuvette comportant des ouvertures, et un siège. Ce siège comprend une lunette conçue pour reposer sur le rebord de la cuvette ainsi qu'un mécanisme de montage de la lunette. Ce mécanisme comprend au moins un anneau qui s'étend à partir de la lunette, deux brides, chacune des brides étant alignée par rapport à au moins une desdites ouvertures du rebord de la cuvette, ainsi qu'un mécanisme de couplage permettant de coupler les anneaux et les brides. Ce moyen de couplage permet de faire tourner l'anneau et de le faire passer d'une position d'utilisation sensiblement horizontale à une position de stockage centrale formant un arc-boutant. Le dispositif de montage pour le siège comprend un réceptacle de tige fixé dans chacune des ouvertures des brides et une tige allongée orientée vers le bas, fixée aux brides et pouvant traverser le réceptacle aligné pour que le siège puisse être levé au-dessus du rebord de la cuvette pour faciliter l'entretien des toilettes. Ces toilettes comprennent également des éléments situés entre les réceptacles et les tiges, conçus pour guider le siège et fixer de manière amovible le siège dans la position levée pour le nettoyage et l'entretien des toilettes.
