An elastomeric isolator is disclosed for use with a pneumatic impact tool which can easily be integrated into existing pneumatic impact tool technology, the isolator comprising an inner member, an elastomeric member surrounding a circumferential periphery of the inner member, wherein the elastomeric member includes at least one aperture extending therethrough, and a non-elastomeric, flanged, outer member extending radially outward from an outer circumferential periphery of said elastomeric member.
