Apparatus and method for reducing collisions on an enhanced access channel in a high bandwidth wireless network dur-ing a push-to-talk (PTT) communication between a plurality of user devices. A random delay field is introduced to a set of access pa-rameters and the random delay is generated at each user device when the user devices are ready to transmit an access probe through the enhanced access channel to a base station. At the end of the random delay, the user devices send the access probe through the enhanced access channel to the base station. A maximum random delay field may be set by the base station.
L'invention concerne un appareil et un procédé permettant de réduire les collisions sur un canal à accès amélioré dans un réseau sans fil à large bande passante pendant une communication en alternat entre une pluralité de dispositifs utilisateur. Un champ de retard aléatoire est introduit dans une série de paramètres d'accès et le retard aléatoire est généré au niveau de chaque dispositif utilisateur lorsque les dispositifs utilisateur sont prêts à transmettre à une station de base une sonde d'accès par le canal à accès amélioré. A la fin du retard aléatoire, les dispositifs utilisateur envoient la sonde d'accès par le canal à accès amélioré à la station de base. Un champ de retard aléatoire maximal peut être fixé par la station de base.
