A method for conducting finite element analysis of a component which takes into consideration the apparent rigidity of an interface structure. The method generally includes the steps of (a) providing a standard shim bar, (b) physically measuring the natural frequencies of the standard shim bar when mounted to the interface structure, (c) generating a finite element model having a shim interposed between the component and ground, (d) selecting the characteristics of the shim as a function of the measured natural frequencies of the standard test bar, and (e) once the appropriate characteristics are selected, performing the desired finite element analysis on the finite element model.
L'invention porte sur un procédé destiné à effectuer l'analyse par éléments finis d'un composant, ce procédé prenant en considération la rigidité apparente d'une structure d'interface. Ce procédé consiste à: (a) former une barre standard servant de cale d'appui, (b) mesurer physiquement les fréquences naturelles de la barre standard lorsqu'elle est montée sur la structure d'interface, (c) générer un modèle par éléments finis, une cale d'appui étant placée entre le composant et le sol, (d) sélectionner les caractéristiques de la cale d'appui en fonction des fréquences naturelles mesurées de la barre de test standard et (e) après sélection des caractéristiques appropriées, effectuer l'analyse par éléments finis sur le modèle.
