The present invention provides a sign and banner hanging system comprising a horizontal track and carrier means for retaining a sign or banner, said track adapted to slidably retain the carrier means and means for connecting the track to a ceiling. The means for connecting the track to a ceiling preferably comprises two or more vertical rods having first and second ends, said first end of said rods fastened to said track and the second end of said rods fastened to the ceiling. In order to mount the banner hanging system to a suspended ceiling the second end of the rods is fastened to the t-bar of a suspended ceiling by a t-bar ceiling track clip. The sign and banner hanging system assists retailers in hanging signs and banners quickly and uniformly throughout a store.
