The invention relates to a process for producing aerogels with permanently hydrophobic surface groups, in which a) silicate lyogel is provided, b) the gel provided in step a) is washed with an organic solvent, c) the gel obtained in step b) is surface-silylated and d) the surface-silylated gel obtained in step c) is dried, where the organic solvent used in step b) is a diether of formula (I) R1-O-(CH2)n-O-R2 in which R1 and R2 are mutually independently the same or different alkyl groups with 1 to 4 C atoms and n is a natural number in the range from 1 to 5.
L'invention concerne un procédé de production d'aérogels comportant des groupes superficiels durablement hydrophobes, selon lequel un lyogel silicique est préparé, b) le gel obtenu à l'étape a) est lavé avec un solvant organique, c) le gel obtenu à l'étape b) est silylé en surface, et d) le gel silylé en surface obtenu à l'étape c) est séché. Ce procédé se caractérise en ce que le solvant organique utilisé à l'étape b) est un diéther de la formule (I) R?1¿-O-(CH¿2?)¿n?-O-R?2¿ dans laquelle R?1¿ et R?2¿ sont identiques ou différents et désignent indépendamment l'un de l'autre des groupes alkyle ayant entre 1 et 4 atomes de C et n vaut un entier naturel compris entre 1 et 5.
