ABSTRACT The present invention relates to a method for the mass production of plant parasitic nematodes from the Anguinidae family from the genera Subanquina, Anquina and Orrina which cause galls on the above ground portions of weed species, and in particular of nematodes of Subanquina picridis by growing surface sterilized nematodes of Subanquina picridis on shoot tip cultures growing on an artificial medium and after the appearance of visible galls on the leaves, shoot tips and petioles of the shoots and after the amount of nematodes has increased by at least 140 fold recovering said nematodes and to a method to apply an effective amount of these mass produced nematodes to the plant or to the locus of the plants to effect and produce typical galls so as to inhibit the growth or kill the plants.
