The invention relates to an agent for treating malignant diseases, in particular for preventing or inhibiting the metastatic spread of solid tumours that express HER2. The inventive agent is characterised in that it promotes the expression of the keratin genes 8 and 18 (K8, K18) in tumour cells. The agent is preferably the K18 gene for gene therapy, which for HER2-mediated in vivo transfection is preferably bound to a liposome capsule that is provided with antibodies against the HER2 receptor. The invention therefore relates to the use of the K8 and K18 genes for treating solid tumours, in particular the mammary carcinoma. Application areas for the invention are the medical field and the pharmaceutical industry.
L'invention concerne un moyen pour soigner des maladies malignes, en particulier pour empêcher ou inhiber la formation de métastases de tumeurs solides exprimant HER2. L'invention est caractérisée en ce que ledit moyen favorise l'expression des gènes de kératine 8 et 18 (K8, K18) dans les cellules tumorales. Il s'agit notamment du gène K18 pour le traitement génétique, lequel est lié pour la transfection <i>in vivo </i>transmise par HER2 à un liposome doté d'anticorps contre le récepteur HER2. La présente invention concerne donc l'utilisation des gènes K8 et K18 dans la thérapie de tumeurs solides, notamment du carcinome mammaire, et elle concerne ainsi les applications médicales et l'industrie pharmaceutique.
