The present invention relates to biodegradable multiphase compositions characterized in that they comprise three phases: (a) a continuous phase composed of a matrix of at least one tough hydrophobic polymer incompatible with the starch; (b) a nanoparticulate dispersed starch phase with mean dimensions of less than 0.3 µm, (c) a further dispersed phase of at least one rigid and fragile polymer with modulus greater than 1000 MPa. Such compositions having a Modulus greater than 300 MPa and a substantial isotropy in the two longitudinal and transverse directions in relation to tear propagation.

L'invention concerne des compositions multiphases biodégradables caractérisées en ce qu'elles comprennent trois phases : (a) une phase continue composée d'une matrice d'au moins un polymère hydrophobe résistant incompatible avec l'amidon; (b) une phase d'amidon nanoparticulaire dispersée de dimensions moyennes inférieures à 0,3 µm, (c) et une autre phase dispersée d'au moins un polymère rigide et fragile à module supérieur à 1000 MPa. Ces compositions possèdent un module supérieur à 300 MPa et une isotropie substantielle dans les deux directions longitudinale et transversales directions en fonction de la propagation de déchirure.
