An apparatus (24) that stores and synchronizes printed forms (30) that are being transferred between a high speed forms printer (18) and a mechanism (16) for attaching plastic cards to the forms. The apparatus is also able to buffer the forms that are in progress in the printer should the card processing system need to be shut down or paused. The apparatus (24) creates a shingled stack of forms (30), with the bottommost form in the stack being fed to the attaching mechanism (16) as needed.
L'invention concerne un appareil (24) qui stocke et qui synchronise des formulaires imprimés (30) étant transférés entre une imprimante (18) de formulaires fonctionnant à grande vitesse et un mécanisme (16) permettant de fixer des cartes en plastique aux formulaires. Cet appareil peut également servir de tampon pour les formulaires qui sont en cours de traitement dans l'imprimante si le système de traitement de cartes doit être éteint ou mis en pause. Ledit appareil (24) crée une pile de formulaires superposés, le formulaire situé en bas de la pile étant fourni au mécanisme de fixation (16) selon les besoins.
