The present invention refers to an improved method and an improved apparatus for reducing the concentration of nitrogen oxides in flue gases produced by the combustion of carbonaceous fuel in combustion units having a furnace with a fluidized bed of solids therein. Hot gases produced within the furnace flow mainly upward within the furnace. Heat is recovered from the hot gases and hot solid material by heat transfer surfaces within the furnace. A nitrogen oxides reducing agent is introduced into the furnace through injection means integrally connected to the heat transfer surfaces, for keeping the temperature of the reducing agent at a sufficiently low temperature level at the introduction thereof and for efficiently mixing it with the mainly upward flowing hot gases.
La présente invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif améliorés de réduction de la teneur en oxydes d'azote des effluents gazeux dégagés par la combustion de combustibles carbonés dans des unités de combustion pourvues d'un four à lit de solides fluidifié. Les gaz chauds produits par le four remontent à l'intérieur du four. Des surfaces de transfert thermique garnissant l'intérieur du four permettent de récupérer de l'énergie thermique des gaz chauds et des matières solides chaudes. Le procédé consiste alors, au moyen d'un dispositif d'injection intégralement connecté aux surfaces de transfert thermique, à introduire dans le four un agent réducteur des oxydes d'azote, et ce, de façon à maintenir l'agent réducteur à une température suffisamment basse lors de son introduction, et à le mélanger efficacement aux gaz chauds remontant principalement vers le haut.
