A flotation recovery improvement system is provided for incorporation into the existing structure of a flotation cell or flotation row to increase thefixed flotation volume of the existing flotation cell or flotation row, and to increase residence time for influent feed slurry, to thereby increase and selectively control the recovery of values from an influent feed slurry. The invention includes a flotation box having attachment apparatus for connecting itto an existing flotation cell, and having a sparger system for directing air into the path of influent feed slurry entering into the flotation box to enable and enhance recovery of values from the influent feed slurry in the flotation box. Alaunder member associated with the flotation box removes froth formed in the flotation box, and may be positioned to deliver such froth to the overflow launder of the flotation cell to which it is attached.
La présente invention a pour objet un système amélioré de recyclage par flottation destiné à être intégré dans une installation existante de cellule de flottation ou de cellules flottation en rangée pour prolonger la durée de séjour de la boue d'alimentation pour ainsi accroître et contrôler sélectivement la récupération des substances dans une boue d'alimentation. L'invention comporte une boîte de flottation dotée d'organes permettant son raccordement à une cellule de flottation existante, ainsi qu'un système d'aérateur utilisé pour diriger de l'air en direction de la boue d'alimentation entrant dans la boîte de flottation pour produire et accroître la récupération des substances extraites de la boue d'alimentation. Une laverie utilisée en association avec la boîte de flottation pour retirer l'écume produite à l'intérieur de la boîte de flottation peut être montée de manière à déverser l'écume vers le trop-plein du dispositif de lavage de la cellule de flottation à laquelle elle est raccordée.
