A method of spray reinforcing an article using a curable syrup of a poly((meth)acrylate) in a curable (meth)acrylate monomer and an aqueous dispersion of an organic peroxide which is capable of curing the syrup. The syrup and aqueous dispersion are intimately mixed and sprayed as a reactive spray. The reactive spray entraps suitable reinforcing material in flight towards the article to be reinforced. The use of an aqueous dispersion reduces environmental problems associated with solvent-based systems.

L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de renforcer un article par pulvérisation en ajoutant un sirop de durcissement d'un poly((méth)acrylate) dans un monomère (méth)acrylique et une dispersion aqueuse d'un peroxyde organique capable de durcir le sirop. Le sirop et la dispersion aqueuse sont intimement mélangés et pulvérisés sous forme de substance pulvérisée réactive. La substance pulvérisée réactive emprisonne unematière de renforcement idoine dirigée vers l'article à renforcer. L'utilisation d'une dispersion aqueuse réduit les problèmes de pollution associés à des systèmes à base de solvant.
