An introducer catheter used to deliver an endocardial cardiac electrode has a stylet lumen which collapses upon removal of the stylet to allow for more clearance for the lead and connector to pass when the catheter is removed after lead placement. The collapsible stylet lumen permits the introducer catheter size to be reduced to 8 or 9 French and provide for passage of a 4 French lead.

L'invention concerne un cathéter d'introduction pour le guidage d'une électrode cardiaque endocavitaire, qui comporte une lumière repliable pour stylet, susceptible d'être repliée lorsque le stylet est retiré, moyennant quoi on dispose d'un dégagement accru pour le passage de l'électrode et du connecteur lorsque le cathéter est extrait après l'implantation de l'électrode. La lumière considérée permet de réduire la taille du cathéter d'introduction à un N· Ch égal à 8 ou à 9 et d'assurer le passage d'une électrode dont le N· Ch est égal à 4.
