Process of coating magnesium alloys to improve the corrosion resistance and adhesive bonding strengths of the alloys. The process comprises treating the magnesium alloys with an acidic aqueous solution comprising, per liter of solution, from about 0.01 to 10 grams of a water soluble trivalent chromium compound, about 0.01 to 10 grams of hexafluorozirconate, about 0.0 to 5.0 grams of at least one hexafluorosilicate and/or a tetrafluoroborate, from about 0.0 to 5.0 grams of at least one water soluble divalent zinc compound and from 0.0 to 10 grams of a water soluble thickener and/or 0.0 to 10 grams of a water soluble surfactant.
L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de recouvrir des alliages de magnésium afin d'améliorer leur résistance à la corrosion et leur forces de liaison par adhérence. Ledit procédé consiste à traiter les alliages de magnésium à l'aide d'une solution aqueuse acide comprenant, par litre de solution, environ 0,01 à 10 grammes d'un composé de chrome trivalent soluble dans l'eau, environ 0,01 à10 grammes d'hexafluorozirconate, environ 0,0 à 5,0 grammes d'au moins un hexafluorosilicate et/ou un tétrafluoroborate, environ 0,0 à 5,0 grammes d'au moins un composé de zinc divalent soluble dans l'eau, 0,0 à 10 grammes d'un épaississant soluble dans l'eau et/ou 0,0 à 10 grammes de tensioactif soluble dans l'eau.
