A pharmaceutical composition for oral delivery, including a liquid carrier oil selected from vegetable, animal or mineral oils, a suspending agent, a homogenising agent and a surfactant, mixed with the active principle of the drug and one or more pharmaceutically acceptable excipients or carriers, is disclosed. The composition is useful in drugs having poor or zero solubility in water and oils selected from diacetylrhein, rhein or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
