A combination workpiece positioning, hold-down and anti-kickback device for a work table (12) having a fence (22) against which a workpiece (24) is guided, includes a non-rotatable positioning member (28) having an arcuate cam surface (32) at one edge for engaging a side surface of a workpiece on the work table; an adjustment device (38) for moving the positioning member in lengthwise and transverse directions; a pivot (36) pivotally; a spring (88) connected between the positioning member and the adjustment device for biasing the positioning member in a pivot direction into engagement with the side surface of the workpiece; a variable tensioning device (94); a non-rotatable hold-down member (128) having a second arcuate cam surface (132) at one edge for engaging an upper surface of the workpiece; an adjustment device (138); a pivot(136) pivotally mounting the hold-down member to the second adjustment device; a second spring (188) connected between the hold-down member and the adjustment device (194); of a second variable tensioning device for variably adjusting the biasing force of the second spring.
L'invention se rapporte à un dispositif combiné de positionnement et de retenue de pièces à travailler anti-recul, pour une table porte-pièces (12) comportant une barre d'appui (22) le long de laquelle est guidée une pièce à travailler (24). Ledit dispositif comprend : un élément de positionnement non rotatif (28) possédant une surface de came courbe (32) sur un côté, laquelle vient en prise avec une surface latérale de la pièce à travailler sur la table porte-pièces ; un dispositif d'ajustement (38) déplaçant l'élément de positionnement dans les sens longitudinal et transversal ; un pivot (36) fixant en position pivotante l'élément de positionnement au dispositif d'ajustement ; un ressort (88) relié à l'élément de positionnement et au dispositif d'ajustement, de façon à solliciter l'élément de positionnement dans un sens donné par le pivot, pour qu'il vienne en prise avec la surface latérale de la pièce à travailler ; un tendeur variable (94) ; un élément de retenue non rotatif (128) possédant une seconde surface de came courbe (132) sur un côté, laquelle vient en prise avec une surface supérieure de la pièce à travailler ; un dispositif d'ajustement (138) ; un pivot (136) fixant en position pivotante l'élément de retenue au second dispositif d'ajustement ; un second ressort (188) relié à l'élément de retenue et au dispositif d'ajustement (194) ; et un second tendeur variable permettant de régler la force de sollicitation exercée par le second ressort.
