Apparatus and method for transferring disabled persons horizontally on a slider (11) from a first supporting surface to an adjacent supporting surface by using a cable winch (10) to apply tension to a cable (15) to drag the slider (11) (and the person thereon) from one surface to the other. The cable and/or the winch is/are relocatable to drag the slider substantially horizontally in the opposite direction. Either or both of the supporting surfaces may be on platforms (beds, seats etc) supported by lifting devices (39, 60, 63) and bridging means (42) may be provided on the platforms. The apparatus can be integrated into a bed, trolley, wheelchair or a medical, nursing or sanitary installation.
L'invention porte sur un appareil et un procédé de transfert de personnes invalides, à l'horizontale, sur une plaque coulissante (11) depuis une première surface-support vers une surface-support adjacente à l'aide d'un treuil à câble (10) afin d'appliquer une tension sur un câble (5) pour tirer la plaque coulissante (11) (et la personne se trouvant dessus) d'une surface à l'autre. Le câble et/ou le treuil peut/peuvent être repositionné(s) pour tirer la plaque coulissante pratiquement horizontalement dans le sens opposé. L'une ou l'autre ou les deux surfaces-support peuvent se trouver sur des structures plates (lits, sièges, etc.) supportées par des dispositifs de levage (39, 60, 63) et des éléments latéraux (42) peuvent être ménagés sur ces structures plates. L'appareil peut être intégré à un lit, un chariot, un fauteuil roulant ou une installation médicale, de soins ou sanitaire.
