2147992 9410450 PCTABS00032 A rotor for a transverse flow pump contains a number of disks (1) placed on a shaft (2) with spaces between them. The rotor has a circular grid of blades (4) placed around the disks (1). The circular grid of blades (4) is surrounded by an additional number of disks or disk portions (5) with spaces between them. This arrangement provides surprisingly increased pressure generation with reduced noise generation.
