The present invention relates to a method and arrangement for adjusting a feed rate of a crosscut saw (1), in particular, in a harvesting head of a forest machine during the crosscutting of wood (9) in the apparatus. A feed force (F) of the crosscut saw and/or a rotating rate (v chain) of a cutter chain (5) revolving around a guide bar (4) are thus controlled. The control is implemented such that the first the feed rate (v feed) of the crosscut saw (1) is arranged to be measured at given intervals. By adjusting thereafter the feed force of the actuator (2) controlling the crosscut saw and/or rotating rate (v chain) of the cutter chain (5) and by determining the effect of the performed adjustment on the feed rate of the crosscut saw, it is possible to conclude any change (.delta. v) in the feed rate and the most advantageous adjustment measure to be performed next.
La présente invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif permettant de régler la vitesse d'amenage d'une scie à tronçonner (1), notamment dans une tête d'abattage-ébranchage d'une machine à bois pendant le tronçonnage de bois (9). On peut ainsi réguler une force d'amenage (F) de la scie à tronçonner et/ou une vitesse de rotation d'une chaîne coupante (5) tournant autour d'un guide-chaîne (4). On met en place le réglage, de telle manière que, dans un premier temps, la vitesse d'amenage de ladite scie (1) peut être mesurée à des intervalles donnés. On peut parvenir à tout changement de la vitesse d'amenage et à la mesure de réglage la plus avantageuse à réaliser, en réglant la force d'amenage de l'actionneur (2) commandant ladite scie et/ou la vitesse de rotation de la chaîne coupante (5), et en déterminant l'effet du réglage réalisé sur la vitesse d'amenage de la scie à tronçonner.
