ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE There is disclosed a novel method and apparatus for removing hydrocarbon material from within a well. The apparatus includes a subsurface pump which incorporates a hydraulic motor actuable by pressurized fluid in communication with a second pump. The second pump is in direct communication with the hydrocarbon material and, while actuated, draws the same upwardly from the well for delivery to a storage or processing facility.
