A starting and generating system for use with an aircraft engine includes a starter / generator and an inverter / converter / controller (ICC) coupled to the starter / generator. The starter / generator is configured to start the aircraft engine in a start mode and Io generate AC power in a generate mode. The starter / generator includes an exciter and a rotational shaft. The ICC is configured to provide AC power at a first frequency the starter / generator in the start mode and to control the exciter during the generate mode such that the generate mode AC power has a second frequency, wherein the first frequency is based on a shaft speed of the shaft.
Selon l'invention, un système de démarrage et de génération d'un moteur d'aéronef comprend: un démarreur/générateur et un inverseur/convertisseur/régulateur (ICC) couplé au démarreur/générateur. Le démarreur/générateur est conçu pour démarrer le moteur d'aéronef en mode démarrage et pour générer un courant alternatif en mode génération. Le démarreur/générateur comprend un excitateur et un arbre rotatif. Le ICC est configuré pour fournir un courant alternatif au démarreur/générateur, selon une première fréquence, dans le mode démarrage, et pour réguler l'excitateur dans le mode génération afin que le courant alternatif, en mode génération, présente une seconde fréquence, la première fréquence étant fondée sur une vitesse de l'arbre.
