A plate for supporting at least one electrical switch of the type commonly known as snap-in switches, such as snap-in rocker switches, so that the plate and attached switch or switches can be mounted to a standard electrical switch box of the type used in homes in North America. Snap-in type switches enter rectangular holes in the plate and are attached to the plate by means of retaining clips that offer an outward spring force against two sides of a rectangular opening. The rectangular holes in the plate are correctly sized so that the rectangular holes will readily accept an inserted snap-in type switch and retain the switch on the plate in the intended manner. At least one pair of holes is present on the plate to allow screws, such as size 6-32 screws, to pass through the holes and into the threaded holes on a standard electrical switch box of the type installed within walls in North American homes, so that the plate and the switches may be attached to the switch box by use of screws. Holes provided for use with attachment screws are located on the plate so that the holes correspond to the location of the holes on switch boxes that are intended for mounting devices such as receptacles or switches. One pair of holes is present on the plate for each ganged switch box present behind the plate. The plate is of sufficient size to completely cover a switch box or a group of ganged switch boxes while the attachment screw holes on the plate properly align with the corresponding threaded holes on the switch box or switch boxes. The plate allows multiple snap-in type switches to be installed at a single gang switch box and these grouped snap-in switches are intended for use in low voltage systems, i.e. 30 Volts or less. The plate may be painted to contrast with snap-in switch colors, producing attractive and compact grouped switches.
