The invention concerns a side wall (4) for a railway car body (1) comprising a metal support frame (8) and a metal external covering (12) welded on the frame. Said side wall comprises a roof leaf (10) designed to be coupled to a railway car body roof (1). Elements (14) of the support frame (8) are linked to the roof leaf by laser welds (20). The metal support frame (8) extends from a lower longitudinal spar (6) to support said external covering (12) and said roof leaf. The invention is applicable to railway car bodies made of steel.
Cette paroi latérale (4) pour caisse (1) de véhicule ferroviaire comprend une ossature de support métallique (8) et un habillage extérieur métallique (12) soudé sur l'ossature. Elle comprend un battant de pavillon (10) destiné à être relié au pavillon d'une caisse (1) de véhicule ferroviaire.
