Copolymers of unsaturated fatty esters capable of being obtained by copolymerization in a mineral oil of a percentage of an ester of a carboxylic acid A1, of a percentage of an ester of a carboxylic acid A2 and a percentage c of anester of a carboxylic acid A3, wherein a is between 12 and 20%, c is between 14 and 30% and b, which is preferably between 72 and 45%, is such that a + b + c = 100%. The copolymers in accordance with the invention are employed as viscosity improver in lubricating oils.
