A combination (5) ottoman, table or desk and a foldable sleeper bed comprises upper (24) and lower (28) wooden frame sections, the lower frame section (28) being configured as an open top box, atop which the upper frame section is located. The two frame sections are interconnected by a pair of opposed four- bar linkages (26, 26') which permit the upper frame section (24) to be moved between a first position (Fig. 1) in which it rests atop and encloses the lower frame section (28), and a second raised position (Fig. 2) in which it is spaced upwardly and rearwardly from the lower frame section. Contained within the enclosure defined by the upper and lower frame sections, there is a foldable sleeper bed (20) having pivotally interconnected head (72), body (74), intermediate (76) and foot sections (78), which sections (72, 74, 78) are extendable forwardly from the lower frame section (28) when the upper frame section (24) is in the second raised position to form a bed (20) and foldable to fit and be contained within the enclosure when the bed (20) is collapsed and stored.

A l'intérieur de l'espace défini par les châssis supérieur et inférieur se trouve un lit pliant (20) pourvu de parties interconnectées tête (72), corps (74), intermédiaire (76) et pied (78), lesquelles parties (72, 74, 78) peuvent se déplier vers l'avant à partir du châssis inférieur (28) lorsque le châssis supérieur (24) est dans la seconde position élevée, de manière à former un lit (20), et peuvent également être pliées et disposées dans le caisson lorsque le lit (20) est rabattu et rangé.
