A method of bleaching a stained textile comprises the following steps : I) adding a unit duse of a bleaching composition comprising 0.0005 wt % iodine or a sowce thereof, and the balance carriers and adjunct ingredients to an acqueous medium, thereby providing an aqueous bleaching environment ; II) contacting the textile with the aqueous iodine bleaching environment ; III) rinsing the textile with water ; and, IV) drying the textile.

L'invention concerne un procédé destiné à blanchir un textile taché et consistant (I) à ajouter, dans un milieu aqueux, une dose unitaire d'une composition de blanchiment comprenant 0,0005 % en poids d'iode ou d'une source d'iode ainsi que les supports d'équilibrage et les ingrédients d'adjonction, d'où l'obtention d'un environnement de blanchiment aqueux, (II) à mettre le textile en contact avec l'environnement de blanchiment d'iode aqueux, (III) à rincer le textile avec de l'eau, et (IV) à sécher le textile.
