A method and terminal for processing media data for a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) based session service, in which a terminal checks a talk burst revoke reason code included in a talk burst revoke message received from a server to selectively perform either transmission or discard of remaining buffered media data depending on the checked talk burst revoke reason.

L'invention concerne un procédé et un terminal servant à traiter des données multimédia destinées à un protocole d'initiation de session (SIP) basé sur un service de session. Selon ledit procédé, un terminal vérifie un code de raison d'annulation de rafale de service dialogue compris dans un message d'annulation de rafale de service dialogue reçu d'un serveur afin de réaliser sélectivement une transmission ou un abandon des données multimédia restantes mises en tampon, en fonction de la raison d'annulation de la rafale de service dialogue vérifiée.
