A multi-valent immunogenic composition confers protection on an immunized host against infection caused by both Haemophilus influenzae and Moraxella catarrhalis. Such composition comprises at least four antigens comprising at least one antigen from Haemophilus influenzae, and at least one antigen from Moraxella catarrhalis. Three of the antigens are adhesins. High molecular weight (HMW) proteins and Haemophilus influenzae adhesin (Hia) proteins of non-typeable Haemophilus and a 200 kDa outer membrane protein of Moraxella catarrhalis comprise the adhesin components while the other antigen is a non-proteolytic analog of Hin47 protein. Each component does not impair the immunogenicity of the others. The multi-valent immunogenic composition may be combined with DTP component vaccines, which may also include non-virulent poliovirus and PRP-T, to provide a component vaccine without impairment of the immunogenic properties of the other antigens.
L'invention concerne une composition immunogène multivalente assurant une protection chez un hôte immunisé contre les infections causées par l'<i>Hémophilus influenzae</i> et le <i>Moraxella catarrhalis</i>. Cette composition renferme au moins quatre antigènes dont au moins un d'<i>Hémophilus influenzae</i> et au moins un de <i>Moraxella catarrhalis</i>. Trois des antigènes sont des adhésines. Les protéines de masse moléculaire élevée (HMW), les protéines de l'adhésine d'<i>Hémophilus influenzae</i> (Hia) dont le type ne peut être déterminé et une protéine de la membrane externe de 200 kDa de <i>Moraxella catarrhalis</i> renferment les constituants adhésine, tandis que l'autre antigène est un analogue non protéolytique de la protéine Hin47. Chaque constituant n'affecte par l'immunogénicité des autres. La composition immunogène multivalente de l'invention peut être combinée avec des vaccins DCT, parmi lesquels peuvent figurer un poliovirus non virulent et PRP-T, afin d'obtenir un vaccin multivalent sans affecter les propriétés immunogènes des autres antigènes.
